The YMCA of Moose Jaw is currently seeking applications for vacancies on the Board of Directors.
All candidates should have a genuine interest in the YMCA Moose Jaw, in public awareness, and in providing effective governance to the YMCA of Moose Jaw. Strong interpersonal skills and community connections are definite assets
The Board meets eight times per year and members also serve on at least one Board committee (Audit/Finance, Governance or executive.). Applicants should be prepared to commit an average between 4 to 8 hours per month of their volunteer time. Successful candidates will be presented to the membership for election for positions, for a two-year term, with eligibility for re-election for a subsequent two-year term.
Organized and creative
A satisfactory Criminal Record Check
A minimum of 3 professional references
Completion of the YMCA Child Protection Training
Strong Interpersonal skills
Communication Connections are an asset

A current resume outlining experiences and skills
Successful applicants will be invited to attend an orientation session that will focus on the objectives of the YMCA of Moose Jaw, the Board of Directors, and our various committees. This session will provide an outline of the expectations of Board members and present the Board governance policies and structure. The Board will make its recommendation to the membership at the October Annual General Meeting.
