How do I join the YMCA of Moose Jaw?

How much does it cost to become a member?
YMCA fees vary depending on whether you're joining as an individual or family. Monthly Membership costs are as follows:

All prices are subject to GST. All memberships are charged a Joiner Fee. Yearly payment options are also available-please consult with a membership service representative for more information. *Plus services- $15.24/month per person. Plus services allow you access to the following at each location: Fairford YMCA- adult only locker rooms, access to co-ed steam & sauna, towel services. Athabasca YMCA- unlimited tanning & towel services. Plus services are only eligible for adult, senior and family memberships. Young adults must pay the adult membership rate in order to receive these benefits.
What happens if I can’t afford the membership fees?
YMCA Financial Assistance is available to those individuals and families that are unable to pay the full fee for a YMCA general membership. Anyone interested in applying for Financial Assistance can be interviewed by booking an appointment with the Membership Manager. To apply, bring in a completed Financial Assistance Application along with proof of your income and expenses. Your interview will be an in-person assessment of your financial situation and will be completely confidential.
Do you offer child care while I exercise?
Absolutely! Both of our Centres offer a child minding service that allows you to participate in a fitness program while we watch your children in a safe and fun environment. Also, if you hold a family membership you receive child minding services for free while using the facility. View our Child Minding Page for more information on Child Minding Services.
Can I bring a guest with me?
You can bring as many guests as you wish! The first time anyone visits the YMCA they are provided with a complimentary one week pass. They may also attend our programs and fitness classes free of charge during their one week trial period.
Can I visit a YMCA Centre for just the day?
YES! You can buy a day pass at either of our YMCA Health & Fitness Centres. That way, you will be considered a member for the day and have access to either of our fitness centres.
- New to the YMCA is our Family Day Pass for only $20.00. This is valid for two (2) Adults and Two (2) Youth under the age of 18 years.
I'm new to exercise - How do I learn to use the equipment at the YMCA?
New members are encouraged to participate in an orientation at one of our two locations with our certified staff at no extra charge (only free for annual Members within their first six (6) months). Our certified staff will show you how to safely use the cardio and weight equipment.
We also offer Personalized Training Services which YMCA members receive at a discounted rate. All programs are designed with your specific needs, fitness levels and goals in mind.
How do I cancel my membership?
Members can cancel membership without penalty given they provide 30 days written notice. Cancellations cannot be accepted over the phone.
How do I put my membership on hold?
You can put your membership on hold for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 90 days if you plan to return to the YMCA. This way you don't have to cancel your membership and pay the Joiner fees again.
