Young Leader Representative
The YMCA of Moose Jaw is accepting applications for a new and exciting volunteer position within our association. The Young Leader Representative is appointed by our Board of Directors.
YMCA of Moose Jaw
5 Hours per month
Together with the board chair and the CEO, these three delegates exercise the voting rights of the YMCA of Moose Jaw during National Council. At the YMCA of Moose Jaw, volunteers are an essential part of our team and not only contribute to the overall success of our Association, but allow us to deliver quality programs and services to all ages and abilities within our Community.
Our inclusive and friendly atmosphere creates a safe place to develop skills, make friends and become part of the YMCA Family. There are always a wide range of opportunities available or we can create a volunteer position to make your time, skill set and talents. Volunteer with us today and dare to be a difference maker!
Major Responsibilities and Abilities:
Is able and supported to share learning with young volunteers, staff, and participants, and to consult with children, teens and young adults within the YMCA and the community
Have an interest in YMCA governance
Attend Board of Director meetings as a member at large and share information between youth and the board
Organized and creative
A satisfactory Criminal Record Check
A minimum of 2 professional references
Completion of the YMCA Child Protection Training
Must be between the ages of 19-30
Is able to attend the National Council Meeting in Toronto on November 17th and 18th, 2016 (travel, accommodations and meals provided)
